So why wasn't he given 5 years and $250k fine. If you want to send a message the first one will be ignored, it needs a constant sending to get it through.
These businesses will close and others will replace them who are playing by the rules. Or people will have to wash their own cars.

The idea that only immigrants will work for such a low wage is right. The problem is the West has pandered to the business and corporate community for far too long. The result is businesses and corporations make huge profits. The country sinks into ever mounting debt.
The reasons are clear. The native worker doesn't disappear, he goes onto a low wage or welfare. Because businesses and corporations are hiring immigrants to do jobs Westerners would do for better wages.
We've seen sums of $50k as the cost of an unemployed worker, add that to the cost of the cheap migrant, add the cost of crime, education, healthcare, etc and the overall cost is sky rocketing. Will liberals who are in favour of letting any poor soul into their country carry the cost or do they bitch they will have to spend more to hire a westerner and the growing debt mountain.
All the liberals will do is bitch about having to pay more in taxes or the government spending more or the cost of the Wall.
