Have any of you gone white water kayaking? Even in class 1 rapids it can be very dangerous. I did it for 2 years and learned to respect the power of the river.
My last ride was in a class 3 course and I got stuck in a hydraulic. It's terrifying because the water is so powerful and it keeps pulling you back in. I had to bail, swim to the bottom and ride the current out (which isn't easy).
And drowning is on my to 10 lists of worst ways to go.
