Saw the video over a week ago. Knowing that we will be in Vegas, we had various people looking for her.

Met with her this Wednesday evening for an hour. She is no longer in the tunnels but living under a bridge.

I can only say that she is in a dark place, and that drugs are a major contributor. We offered immediate assistance with housing, counseling, and treatment. She told us that she wanted the help, but asked that we also take her boyfriend from the streets.

Based on a quick assessment/observation, we declined to take him and walked away. We found a young relative of hers living in another State who was not aware of her situation, and who promised to repeatedly try talking her into accepting our assistance without the boyfriend in tow.

If she makes the decision to seek the help alone, some limited fundraising from this industry and possibly the fans would be in order. Anyone interested in leading that effort can get in touch with me directly at alex @ nalem DOT com.

I don't make it a habit to rescue people, but I met her a decade ago. Found her genuine then and now. Her eyes and smile showed us that there is a warm light on inside her. She offered us her bottled beverage in case we were thirsty. There is a good chance that she can turn her life around, but it has to happen very soon.
