I don't think those guys would be sitting in jail if they just flew girls in and made a porn under the pretense it was going in some limited foreign / select market. That's more of a civil suit than a sex trafficking one. The problem is, and what shimmy missed, is that some of these girls were allegedly held against their will, forced to finish scenes that they initially didn't agree to or they wouldn't get paid (coercion), and some were allegedly raped by the performer, plied with alcohol, rushed through their contracts etc.
The plaintiffs built the entire case for the feds with all the witnesses, especially all the girls GDP had working for them, convincing the girls that their fictitious videos were great and nobody ever found out. Plus the had the old camera man and the secretary coordinating all this fraud.
When you pile it all together, I don't know how anyone could come to the conclusion that what transpired was OK and they'll somehow end up walking from this.

Anyone familiar with their videos would know that these weren't exactly willing participants and it has been discussed online for years. I don't even pay attention to their content but remember girls being shocked at getting creampied, forced to sit there instead of running off to clean up as they obviously wanted, etc. They also often looked like they were being hurt with hard fucking, just watch their eyes / hands.
Some were more into it, but damn, these people were absolutely brutal and it is at least obvious in hindsight.
