do I respect his right to run his business however he wants? yes
have my interactions with him been ridiculously unpleasant? yes
do I ever want to work with him again? no. would I ever ask him to list my site again? no
would I respond to his emails if he asked for advertising on my sites (which he has done)? no
You can't get to the top of the directory game w/o pissing a lot of people off. I'm one of the people porndude has pissed off.
Also a lot of webmasters don't realize that if you make a great site and build a ton of backlinks for it and get lots of traffic, porndude will list you without you even asking. He has done that for my sites. Trying to get your fresh no-backlink no-traffic site listed on the #1 directory is amateur thinking.
