Asymptomatic transmission is rare. The only countries that have really dodged covid are the countries that are exceptionally healthy, have excellent hygiene, and mostly avoid kissing/hugging/share food, etc. Countries like Japan and Taiwan. Most of the world will reach herd immunity before the vaccine ever gets here. Some places like New York, UK, Italy, Sweden already have herd immunity. The bottom line is that lockdowns don't work & masks don't work. What works is being healthy, good hygiene, not sharing food and not swapping spit with relatives.
