Some friendly advice to the OP from somebody who has been heavily involved in this market for sometime. (from the managerial side)
That's actually not a lot of competitors for the modern business model that the industry is heading towards.
Secondly, like most competitors, each of those simply duplicated other existing platforms when they saw it was a smart market to get into so they don't actually add much that is unique to the market. Innovation isn't common within adult. There is ample window for providing a high quality product that offers at least some innovation
It's not the time you launch or money where people would fall short in this market or most markets in this industry. It is like most industries, you cannot go into a market knowing very little because it would mean you will suffer a huge learning curve, whereas other people have already ironed out these things. This means that you will probably not profit and that models/users will not stick on your platform as your product will simply not provide any reason to choose yours over others. Your product may appear to be equal on the forefront but when you learn your infrastructure is not up to par for scaling, you will spend all your resources changing things over but you are doing this while live, users are finicky and will not sit idly by while you figure things out and address 'other' things. You need to launch out of the gate strong. The launch is everything. People fail to realize in this industry that products don't fall a bit flat, rebound once they figure things out. They launch successfully or they do not. There is no time for a learning curve in a mature market
Unless you have been a big part of successful software platform's that feature VOD, streaming, etc - I wouldn't bother. People try to skip steps, take things one step at a time. Perhaps get a job being involved in one these companies, or running a similar smaller business. Or even running multiple model accounts for models, to really truly understand their needs. Would you open a theme park if you had some experience running a concession?
