Its hardly new science so the design of the vaccine once they had the virus decoded would of taken hours... not even days or weeks.
Small teams will then make a brew up, test it then make more, test it then make more and test it then make more, Then they can apply for funding to make larger quantities..
With covid all the vaccines have received massive Government funding allowing the to go straight to production and that's where the time has been saved in what normally can take years
Because ALL countries are in panic mode, trillions has been thrown worldwide at vaccine making, there's over 50 of them!
Oxford Vaccine started with a core group of 16 staff, normally more staff wouldn't be needed, they're now running a team in the thousands..
I'd guess the Covid vaccines have had more testing and public scrutiny than any flu vaccine ever has.
