Ethereum miners fees are extremely high right now, averaging between $15 up to $40 last month. Your customer has to pay for those gas fees.

If you want to use it for micro payments, stick with payment gateways which offer alternative coins such as Monero (besides ETH and BTC). For the last 100 transactions, fees for Monero were $0.0032 on average (vs BTC - $44).
