I'm a fan of just going some place new, but it is nice to put down roots sometimes too. Growing up, when I got to college, it was my 12th school in 12 years. These days, I like to stay places longer, but I can also split my time between Hollywood and Vegas and I know I could always go some place else.
If it is stuff keeping you in one place, it is just stuff. You can generally buy most stuff again, but you only have one life.
