I wanted to add make sure you read all their documentation: KVS the Basics, Settings, and Site Management, and then make your way over to their forums and make your way through their Educational Series. Then do it again.
On a more practical level I would also suggest that before you even import any content get your categorization in place.

Thank you... I read through all the documents and read every thread on their forum.
KVS is robust and powerful. The more I use it the more comfortable I am getting editing the templates.
