There has been a few documentaries on him - wonder if they'll do a movie since he's still in the news. Hollywood loves to do that and would likely succeed in doing a sort of "Boogie Nights" version of Ron.
If his mind is truly gone it's sad for the victims who won't have their stories heard and for the person himself - it's a punishment of sorts that your mind is wiped clean - being trapped and not remembering why. There likely is no guilt but also no human left inside
