The best ones are the ones who buy things like xxhamster.com and think people will pay them $100000 for the domain name.
Over the years people have tried to sell ok domain names but asked silly money. They buy for $20 then try to sell for $100000, when I have seen people offer $2000 or more and they would have made a nice profit. But greed kicks in.
For fun I give it a few years knowing they are so greedy they hang on hoping to get more, then the domain drops, and I have picked it up for $10.
i was listening to a youtube vid where a chap has made millions buying, doing up houses then selling them. He said the mistake people make is hold on for months hoping to get that bit extra. He said he just sells and as long as he makes a profit he is happy. He said in the time many will have sold a house, he will have purchased 3 or 4 and made more money selling them than that person just sat around.
It is a bit like bitcoin. The smart people purchased cheap, then sold. But many purchased and held on because of greed, then woke up to find the price crashed.
