There is no personal information in an account. The actual name, surname and card number are and MUST be kept at a third party for security reason.
Now the only way they can match multiple accounts is eventually IP, which is not only illegal in europe under GDPR, but highly inneficient.
Not trying to say it's not their job, but there are things that definitely requires more work than just a "piece of cake"
