well, the Cambridge dictionary is considered to be a highly reliable source
regarding the ads, that's prolly cuz it's a free site, whereas dictionaries such as the Oxford require a subscription to search meanings that include idioms
so to compare three of the top ones:
Cambridge- free, full access to different variations of words/phrases
Oxford- subscription required for all but the most traditional uses of words/phrases
Merriam Webster- free, hence it too has ads. MW agrees with Cambridge. you don't need to pay to see that
