Is it safe for battery lifetime to let laptop plugged-in while the battery is 100% charged
Hello all
I heard that leaving laptop plugged-in (when you are working with it of course) while battery is 100% charged is bad for battery health and will cause damage for it in the near future. others say that this habit can only cause damage to old computers battery because the new ones especially with Lithium battery have some built in technique that prevents the battery from overcharging when it reaches 100.
So my question now is can I leave the laptop plugged-in while it is 100% charged since I always prefer to work with it plugged-in and I do not even need to use the battery but I still do not want to damage it (the battery), or I should plug out it whenever the battery is 100% and work with it until the battery is low again, I hope someone with experience give us a clear answer for this question that am sure many of you have already wondered about it.
My Laptop model : HP ELITEBOOK X360 1030 G2 i7
Battery type : Lithium ion
