We used to be with hostgator before moving to a dedicated server to a company in Canada...
We had no problems with hostgator then, we just wanted to get a dedicated with Netelligent as weŽd heard good things about the company, & they were excellent.
Now back with Hostgator as Netelligent only offer dedicated, not needing a dedicated for our blog & few small domains.
Our blog, a WP base site, was running on a British server, they said after 5 years of running our blog with them, "we donŽt do adult", no emails, no pre warning, just cut us off! They allowed us to go into the server to send everything across to Hostgator...
the site was back up & online within an hour or so of purchasing the server, no problems since & no down times
