your video game idea is just redux of old ideas
started in modern times in labs with chimpanzees in the infamous 'grape wars'. chimps are really close to humans physiologically/psychologically and they would rather go on strike than accept what they perceived to be unjust treatment for getting a cucumber slice over a grape
a later version in a vid game with humans was similar, invariably over time one good turn produces another. the opposite also true
those were studies, testing diff outcomes under diff conditions. studies on how perceptions of sharing, resentment and altruism play out
you don't live in a video game, you have choices and you throw them away inside a bottle
