not reading a whole bunch of stuff about furniture and subtle ebegging

my driver (use his services sparingly, also a good friend) that spent xmas with us got arrested on Dec 23rd picking up my mom at the airport

my aunt and uncle came the next day

basically, we got there early, found out from my aunt like 20 mins away from Mobay that her plane delayed by 4 hrs so we had some time to kill

and we needed to pee

pulled into a small lot that had other cars and two big ad billboards but nary a 'no parking' sign

cops came out in force about 10 mins lata, on everyone

not to issue tickets, for shakedowns (pay me to not give you a ticket for parking in a small lot with zero signage)

my friend refused, and he got arrested. was begging the officer who cuffed him to just let me pay whatever cuz there to pick up an old woman after a long trip

youngest cop clearly had a hard on for it so to no avail

they wanted to tow the car. I got in the car and locked the doors. I look like a tourist, so used that priv. was honest that I did not have a JA driver's licence to drive it elsewhere. was not leaving the car

once the nicest cop cleared with felon who parked under a tree that he trusted me with the car they carted him off in handcuffs. called my cop dude for assistance, smoked cigs and had a brief nap

mean cop kept circling, glaring through the windshield. didn't care, wasn't going anywhere. dude was out about 90 mins later with bail to show up for court date, he's already paid his fine (I paid it, happily, just needs to show face)

so yeah, don't park under a tree in JA but have luck with the furniture. maybe, one grand fine day, you'll get your ish together to be there for others for a change

reciprocity a beautiful word
