Wow, so sorry to hear. Rest in peace WB. I remember seeing him on the boards in the old days.
Life is so full of tragic endings sometimes. Its hard to comprehend why people do what they do but many choose this path. Over 800,000 people kill themselves each year. More than 2,000 people each day. That's mind boggling when you think about it. Close to the total of how many were killed in the WTC attack taking their lives voluntarily each and every day.
Problem is we live in a world that slaps us with so damn many stresses and pressures on our minds and souls. Its remarkable to me that far more people don't do it. I'm sure for everyone that does there are hundreds if not thousands that have seriously thought about it at one or more times in their lives.
I had a business partnership with the owner of Chippendales years ago and Steve had put out a contract hit on someone and got nailed on it and he was looking at decades behind bars in state prison and he chose to hang himself while he was in jail. Amazing, and he had everything in the world, a successful worldwide business, tens of millions of dollars, a nice family, and he just decided to end it all.
Life is hard, very hard. Even having success, money, family and friends often can't resolve internal depression. Its sad.
