I think thats goin too far with the whole "reality tv" thing...but apparently nothing is sacred with regard to ratings, so now i just try to look on the bright side...at the very least, its very likely that those 5 couples are desperate for a child of their own, and are also likely to be able to afford said child, and provide him/her with all the necessities that the 16 yr. old simply can't...
so maybe the baby wins in the long run...
