I've heard of banks on Isle of Man and the Channel Islands, which will let you open up and account with them and you can deposit money into that account.
They'll give you a Visa card to use when you want money out of that account. Since the bank will get it's commission from Visa, they usually won't charge you anything for the use of the card, except when you make a cash withdrawal. Virtually every ATM boxes all over the world will let you take out cash off your Visa card.
All you need to do is to let your sponsors wire transfer the money to that offshore bank account, or just send the bank your checks.
