If you really care about her not giving up is certainly a good way to show it. I broke up with my gf because I didn't trust her and only got back together because she never gave up. I ignored her for about 2 months and she kept messaging me and leaving me flowers and I new that it really did mean something to her. If you truelly love her don't give up. If she doesn't care about you anymore it won't work, but the only way to really find out is to try. If she does she won't push you away and the other boyfriend will eventually get sick of it.
