a) They offer only half of the selling price as my commission. I firmly believe that a creative professional should make more money from his own work than a middleman should for selling it.
b) Their estimates of how much money their best providers will make per month is quite a bit less than I have made in the last week by word of mouth alone. As such, I am not sure I see what they add.
c) Some will ask to set the price. This means I cannot compete with them selling my own content, as they will undercut me wit my own stuff. I don't like that at all, especially when I might only get a percentage of the low price they offer my content for.
d) Some providers seem to ask for pretty broad rights. At least one has wanted outright ownership of my photos, offering me a license to use them in return. I don't think so!
e) There is no upfront payment to make this worth my while. If I give my content to someone else to sell, I have to wait for it to make money. In cases where I can't (by contract or realism) compete with the reseller, I can't work to make my content sell more.
f) People who pay up front have been offering less for exclusive resale rights, per set, than I have gotten licensing my sets to individuals. I almost fell for it, too!
So, with that in mind, I guess I wasn't really asking where I might try to find a reseller for my content. What I mean is, where might be a good place to promote my content, which I am selling myself?

Check out my sig, Buy or sell your content.
- We advertise to potential buyers in many ways including print and online.
- We allow the buyer to see exactly what he/she will be getting; no text-only descriptions with one or two samples that leave buyers wondering if they should purchase your content. We have full thumbnails of every image and we clearly list prices and limitations/rights to the content.
- We will handle all the finances for you (up to $300 per sale). This means we will accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, online checks, money orders, cashiers checks and personal checks on your behalf and send you a payment from our bank account. In other words, we remove the risk of chargebacks to you while, at the same time, giving you more payment options.
- We will do all the work for you including creating webpages, thumbnailing your images, creating samples, digitizing video content, and more. (There is a small storage media fee if you need copies of digital video sent to you or if you need DVD-quality video).
- We charge no setup fees, only a percentage of sales. Most of the clients we sork with have a 25% commion. This percentage is handled on a case-by-case basis depending on your prices and the copyrights you are selling to the content. Our fee/percentage will be negotiated with you prior to our doing any setup work.
