Ok, so my wife comes in and says, "Hey, they are going to have something on the tv about the pirates movie and st. petersburg"

So, we are watching.....and watching..... and finally at the end of the program, they show the story. I thought that was a nice example of how the media used the story to keep viewers tuned in.

Anyways....

ARGH! X-RATED PIRATE MOVIE HAS CITY RED-FACED

An X-rated pirate movie shot at the municipal pier in St. Petersburg has become a pornographic blockbuster. The movie is called "Pirates" and the producers used the tall ship "Bounty" to shoot some of the scenes. In California, they added the sexually explicit scenes, and the end product is winning awards and giving city officials a red face. Pier managers say they were repeatedly told it would be a rated PG-13 movie. Some city leaders say they are outraged the movie-makers got access under false pretenses.
