It should cost of more.

Americans have the idea cheap gas is a given thing, but it's not.

It's a limited resource, it needs conserving.

It hurts the US balance of payments, every gallon you put into your car puts cents into the deficit.

It pollutes the atmosphere.

Every fuel conservation measure devised in the last 20 years has gone into making cars bigger. Fuel/mileage ratios are the same level as 20 years ago.

Want to save money on fuel, drive a smaller car, less or both.

Maybe $5 a gallon would make people wake up to the truth. If not $10 a gallon would.

Much better to wake up at $3.50
