Your affiliate program

Do you manage your affiliate program yourself or do you hire someone to do it? It's just so overwhelming.. I am trying to launch my first site this week and I am completely lost in the affiliate research...

Well I suppose it depends on what you mean by "manage" We use CCbill to set up affiliate accounts, keep track of affiliate sales and payout to our affiliates. So far it has been very smooth and efficient. For everything else I search out potential affiliates, communicate with my exisiting affiliates, make and send out promo materials, get or make special request promo materials for affils, all personally. It can get overwhelming to juggle everything! Definitely set up with a processing company that can handle payouts because that helps a lot. I like to be in personal communication with affiliates though. They often know sooo much about advertising and promotions!

Ok so I am starting to ramble but if you want any clarification on what I do with Affils let me know.

I REALLY thank you for taking a minute to "ramble on"... I screenshot the post and will probably be in touch with a few questions... I have a ccbill account and the site should be hitting the review process in the next 48 hours... so hopefully by the weekend or first part of next week I will be diving into the affiliate learning curve

Sure! Just let me know about any other questions you have CCbill usually reviews and approves/denies pretty quickly and then you go off to the Visa approval process (if you are planning to accept Visa) and they can take considerably longer but hang in there!
