If someone don't have problem with it then why not. Flaunt has right about what people don't want so it's risky, but is some cases is great oportunity to monetize website.

shorten your urls with secure short links (ssl)
scans your pages daily, stats tracking, and has social share buttons
brand new so urls are very short right right. Get them while they're still REALLY SHORT

I've been using YourLS for quite some time now and have been pretty happy with it for making/managing my own domain shortlinks.

It also ties into Wordpress and many plugin's very well, supports APC op code cache via a plugin script, and dishes out some useful statistics as well.
