Do you include your adult site on your resume?
Do you? Is it a bad idea in general if someone sees this on your resume?
I've strived to make mine classy and treat this endeavor as a real business pursuit. I've learned a lot of great things, building this site, that I'd love to include. |

For me it's a abolute no-go! I own a company that works in the major movie biz. So porn makes a strict ban in this scene. Erotic will sometimes ok, but not for everyone. So I seperate it complete. Doing porn is more a relaxing thing. Something like others goes for Tennis, I shoot smut ;-)
But its everytime depends on you, what you want to do and what your clients you want to get. Normally its ok, there is nothing bad on.

If i'm applying to some church job(or something similar) ... I don't include adult work samples, in any other case, I don't see why not.

If it's anything related to marketing, seo or email I'll say, NO. If it's for a developer or graphic design position I don't see why not.

we had an endorsement for one of our products from a male pornstar who also happened to have an excellent portfolio in mainstream photography. he told me that he never disclosed details of his other job else he simply wouldnt get the work.

Depends on who's looking at the resume. If its going to be someone thats going to understand my point of view then yes, if it going to be someone that probably will not understand my point of view then no.

I was having some hard times finding a job with the portfolio of mine - I tried to step out of adult , without success - the agencies and the companies were saying: we don't do such things - but that's an old story of mine. I got back to the adult and found job: again designing adult sites....
So I had to accept what I do, and what life offers me. I have nothing to offer in my folio but adult. I also draw comics and pinups - all of them cocks, tits and semen inside. I worked for a gaming company as concept artist for a month, then when I saw that I can earn more money with drawing stuff on freelance base, I quit. Then as usual the purchases with mainstream illustrations and sites just stopped, and people started to ask for some naked stuff. Then for some action. "Can you draw my girlfriend - I'd like you to depict her being peed while three guys bang her - her whole body drenched in urine and cum....? " - The fuck?! No! - I don't draw such things!!! - $300 ? - Okay... I will make an exception....send me your gf photo - then the exceptions started to be something like a regular base and I'm wrapped in porn, without option to turn back to the mainstream - even if I want to. Finally I managed to bulge my drawing porn folio that much , so friends gave me advice to make a site with these to earn some cash of that... With drawing porn. Making design for porn sites. Banners for porn sites. Galleries for porn sites. Porn. We pay you to do that - it's porn. I blame the money. I feel degraded, because I feel like I don't have any choice. P.S. I don't draw poo |

I'm no baller, but luckily I make enough money from this whole online thing not to worry about a resume... but I would not put any adult sites on a resume unless I'm applying for an adult job mostly because I'd be paranoid of being judged negatively over it.

I am honest about what I do, otherwise it gets too confusing to lie about it.
When I have been questioned about it ethically, I point out my talent for being on time and keeping deadlines... since porn consumers seem to be the least forgiving when it comes to tardiness. I try to take their shock and turn it into an asset. I'm a cute female, they don't expect me to be a talented smut peddler. :-D |

Sure do but they are not really adult sites just meant to look like them.

I don't because of the nature of the people I work for, I am a software engineer by trade and some finanical companies and ad agencies may not look favorably on adult content, I only used one site for an interview to show off my extreme flash development skills ... it was erotic but not really pornographic.
