If this is an adult cam studio and I guess it is, you are in the mainstream section therefore I suggest to put this in the right section

I have been in the cam business for 7 years. Its hard to keep models motivated. Not one of them are ever business smart. Recently I have been putting my money where my mouth is and telling models I can assure them 500.00 per week. What I do is if they fall under 500, i will equal it out. This way you can put your foot on them and make them work your hours because they are assured a pay check of at least 500 per week which is more than what most people with jobs make. Honestly if you have decent looking girls and you train them, its pretty hard not to make 500.00 their first week unless they are not trying at all. But I make my deal where they have to work 40 hours per week.

How do you keep them? I mean.. they see how many Money you make.. how do you avoid of loosing them to do their own stuff?
Do you have any Contracts for them? Is there for example on MFC a different Login for Studios then for the Solo Girl Login? So you are not giving them a % of all Income?

this should be a % system, the more hours they work, the more money they make, the longer they have been in your studio, they should get higher %
also, you can have competitions, like whoever makes the most on camprime.com (just an example from the top of my hat ) gets 10% more from their camprime income. you should also give hints how hard it is to work from home, how the chargebacks are high, and how they can afford a decent internet connection with enough upload speed, and how their income would drop. i would suggeest running more than one site at the same time, and train your girls good ( i can help you with that ), to make sure they are good. i have seen a super studio where the girls ( avarage non super beauties ) worked on 15 sites at the same time, one pc, and even the ugliest mage $300 per shift.. The super beauties should do fine with less sites.. |

Can you explain how to convert webcams? I have been sending a lot of traffic to several webcam sponsors, and none of them convert.. CAMS are so fucking hard to convert.. I just convert them.. and the same traffic converts at 1:300 with regular paysites that are available for free everywhere.. Any ideas? |

Anyone want to talk about the logistics they recommend in terms of software, connection required, what cam to use (HD?), etc? I think I can get 2-3 girls for this setup, but not sure about cam setups and want to minimize experimentation...

Main problems are, if the girls need some money they work. Example, 200$ for something. After they get, they don't work and make party. But your customers waiting for them. If they can't get you loose your customers. Cam customers are very sensitive people. The way to pay the girls a salary and say, you have to work xxhours is a good way. If not hit the score you loose or get kickout.
I know some guys they do like this ways. But often you have to get new girls. If they need really money for be alive, ok they will be professional and works good. But setup costs for server, software, traffic and ads are expensive. So you have to thinking. For this money you can do another thing better. 4 girls are not a lot. Or maybe you go in partnership with a existing camsite and share the income with the girls. more easy way ;-)

My site is set up to work with Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder. This is a free app from Adobe and allows models to broadcast in HD on the site. Couple that with a Logitec C910 or Logitec HD Pro Webcam C920 with a min upload speed of 1.0 Mbps then cam shows will be crystal clear.

My advice
My advice to keep girls is pay weekly even if your cam program pays you two weeks later. Girls doing this don't want to wait around two weeks for their first pay check.

From what I understand were you also trying to figure out how to start a camsite? I know of one company that offers that service called modenacams. I've looked into it a bit and it seems to be appropriate for starting off a site with no more than several hundred models.
This particular start up camsite offers the usage of the flash encoder. The better the cams of the models, the more willing customers are to stay and spend on them. No one wants to watch the equivalent of a gas station surveillance tape. Make audio mandatory. I could go on... How to keep them there and keep them working? Give them traffic of people wanting to spend money and also offer bonuses for the more money or time girls spend online. After looking at the costs of running a smaller cam site, there is no reason to give a model less than 50% of their earnings and that's just the start. Give models incentive to put in more hours by offering bonuses for more time spent in free chat and/or bonuses on how much they make. Personally, I am less likely to work at a cam site that has no traffic or one where the mindset of your customers expect free webcamming experiences. Set your site apart from the rest by offering quality and dedication from the models. A number one way to get that, at LEAST in the beginning is HOURLY PAY. Trust me, if well known cam models know about a site with hourly pay, you are going to get some of your own girls generating traffic just by their presence alone. Shit, if you guarantee $500 a week, I'm so there. ;P

I've done pretty well converting on cams on the affiliate side and white label as well as doing the studio thing. I'd be willing to share some tips with the right people via email.
