HTML editor help please
Hi
I am new at building my own websites. I have been posting and writing stories for other sites, but am ready to make a few of my own. Looking for an easy HTML editor that is freeware for now. |

Take a look at Coffee Cup Free HTML Editor. I use it to change the themes on all of my blogs as well as to build static sites. Great little program.

Kompozer and CoffeeCup have been mentioned a few times in this thread and both are easy to get on with and have some decent features.

Don't do it. Seriously.
People are well meaning here and suggesting you some fine pieces of software. HOWEVER, I read in your post the intention of building an entire site and updating it, using such tools. That was the way to go in 1996, but in 2012 is suicidal (if I read your intention correctly). An HTML editor might be occasionally useful to tweak templates and the like, but you don't want to have it as your daily way to update a site. Apologies if I misread your intention :-)

You get a 30 day free trial with dreamweaver so for your first websites I would use that
