Life after adsense??

Hello

Last week while checking several of my mainstream sites, I noticed the adsense ads were not showing. I went to log into my adsense dashboard, and was greeted by the message that my account has been disabled. Please refer to the email they sent me for further details.

Well there was no email, not in spam, not anywhere. I sent an email to adsense, explaining the situation, and they sent me a reply - THANKING me for my continued interest in the adsense program, but how they have decided to close my account, and they would be returning all the money in my account to the respective advertisers. (yeah right!!)

They continued to tell me that they realize that I may not understand their decision, and I may want further explanation, but that they were not able to give me any further explanation, as to protect their proprietary screening system.

They again THANKED me for my interest in the adsense program (FUCK OFF GOOGLE!! Fucking with people's livelihoods like this is NOT FUNNY!!), and informed me that they would have no further correspondence with me on this matter.

I have a network of 26 mainstream sites, and have been an adsense publisher for over EIGHT YEARS, and have never clicked my own ads, asked anybody to click them, or sent "dirty" traffic from traffic-building sites! The once that I accidentally clicked my own ad when installing an ad unit on a blog, I emailed them explaining the error, and they thanked me for doing so. that was more than 5 years ago.

Did GOOGLE just fuck me for no apparent reason????

I have read several eerily similar stories on digital point and searchengineland.com, where the OP's account was terminated with no reason given days before a scheduled payment .... Hmmmmm very strange way to conduct business if you ask me ..

Anyways .... I digress.

My question is, what other options are available and what is the next best PPC/PPA contextual advertising sites after adsense?

I do have other ads and other methods of monetizing my sites, so please do not give me the "eggs in one basket" speech. While I have other site monetizations in the sidebar, I am looking for a well performing replacement to Adsense for the real estate directly above my blog article title (a well-known heat map position) ...

I am looking for personal experiences, and feel free to post your affiliate codes too ...

Thanx!
FF

I was making "in the neighborhood" of $300+ dollars a month with 135-150K impressions - spread across 26 sites ... just to give you an idea of the income I am looking to replace.

cheers!

they did disable adsense on some of my sites, always with a warning email. Never had a big issue although I know they can kill my account any time. And of course whenever earnings take off, they drop the rates big time.
adsense is a fool's errand. find something better.

they fucked me too.

always ran legit sites, updated with my own content, and barely made any money with them in the first place - but they still told me i had invalid clicks.

i said, ok, thanks, where are they coming from? why don't you just not pay me for them if you think they're not legit.

i understand they protect themselves from frauds, but they also end up cutting a lot of legit hard working webmasters too.

I have signed up for clicksor .... how long does it take before you start seeing relevant ads?

It's been almost 24 hours now, and I am still getting bullshit ads, as well as setting off avast antivirus for "Malicious URL"

Just signed up for clicksor.

How long does it take to see relevant ads? Also, how could I reposition the ads to the center, rather than sticking to the left at all times.

You can try making another company with a new tax ID number, rejoin adsense and see if they sent you payments. In NYC it would cost you close to 1 month of your current earnings, not sure what it would cost you where your located.

To do this, you would also need a new mailing address. You can also have a relative join Adsense and place their code into your sites.

I did see an article in a past issue of website magazine regarding the top advertising networks, unfortunately it is not listed public anymore.

Please dont ever tried clicksor, their ads are full of mallwares and viruses. Your site will get google warning and you will lost your traffic.

If you like cpm try cpmfun.com, epom.com, zenoviaexchange.com, if you like popunder try edomz.com

I can fully understanding your feelings when your adsense account was banned cos I am in the same situation as you!

So far I have been searching I but do not think any program pay as well as adsense.

But if there are any programs that pay as well or more than adsense, hope everyone here can share.

Sorry for the tardy reply.

This is mainstream (adsense does not allow any adult whatsoever). I do not count uniques, as I get paid by PPA, where I have several people revisit my sites daily, and if they click another ad, I get paid.

Thank you for the link, however I am not following what is so "good" about this article?

It seems VERY vanilla, and every post is written by anonymous, and most posts seem to be written in the past week or two ..

Just an update:

I have applied for Clicksor, as they are Toronto-based, and having them close enough I could actually go there seemed like it might have certain advantages.

Almost a month into it, I must say I am not very impressed with the performance of any of my "test" sites ...

Upon phoning Clicksor, I was told that they had not yet "approved" my chosen keywords, as this needs to be done manually by an account specialist. She did this while I was on the phone with her. ((I don't know why this was not mentioned anywhere in the signup process, but I digress ...))

The account specialist I spoke to told me I should start seeing more 'relevant' ads within the next 24 hours ...

A long weekend and 96 hours later, I still had not seen any better relevance in the ads being served on my site(s), so I phoned Clicksor again.

The account manager I spoke with told me I need to increase the traffic to my sites in order to make more money ...... IS THAT HOW IT WORKS?!? I HAD NO IDEA!!

I called back the following day hoping to reach somebody that actually had some sign of intelligence, and this person told me that I should add several hundred keywords to my site(s), as the ads that get served to me are dependent on the keywords I have selected.

I told them this is bullshit, as I did not select any keywords for "Don't buy MLM Leads" ... and the reply that I got was "no, maybe you did not select these keywords, but maybe the advertiser selected keywords that are in your list, and the system saw that as a match". I'm sorry, but WHAT THE FUCK kind of contextual algorithm do you guys use?!??!?

I am in the middle of compiling a list of THOUSANDS of keywords, and going to see if that will help at all, but thus far, nothing about this program is really impressing me ...

I have heard first hand several people who have had decent results with this program, or I would have bailed 3+ weeks ago... I am giving them another month, if they do not work with me to improve my results, I will be gone!!

As I write this, I am still looking for alternative ways to monetize my mainstream blogs (ALL HAND-WRITTEN - mostly consumer electronics, with a handful of health-related sites too)

Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated. I have no problem signing up under you to a program, if you can show me something that will get me even a little bit excited that it would be worthwhile.

Cheers!
FF

You may have been click bombed by somebody you were competing with. It is not uncommon for people with no real skills to mess with your account.
I hate to say this but you will have to move to pops and banners. Very few programs offer a dent by the click except Google

Been making some nice extra income with this on both mainstream and adult networks. Also increases traffic & improves bounce rate and a bunch of other little perks.

Big company - big problems
Sometimes it is better to do business with small companies. Surprisingly, it is more secure and comfortable. And that is in the mainstream, and in porn
