Quick Adsense tip: Minimize your ad spots
One of the biggest newbie mistakes I made when I started out Adsense blog farming was failing to resist the temptation of putting Adsense ad blocks all over my blog template.
The result? More clicks. Yes. Less money per click. Why? Adsense works on an AUCTION basis. The less ad spots, the higher the chance, the spot will get a higher bidder. Higher bidder = more money for you. Quick tip that resulted in close to 300% income boost for me per average ad spot. |

Yes. It is sustainable. I also don't show adsense in the same spot over and over. I mix it with my mailing list recruitment box. This helps prevent ad blindness.

Worth trying out... but how come google advises webmasters to use as many as possible? When webmasters make more $$, google makes more too... so why would they give counter productive advice?

I think this is one of those things that can vary depending on your site. Just split test it with many ads and only 1 ad and give each test a week or two for the bids to accumulate.
