Hi guys.
I am looking to relocate to a city and a country that is "similar" to Sweden. So people have suggested Toronto. Good move? I have allready kids and family and past 60! . I am more into go to NY for business. What is the positives and negatives ? Business Visa is harder to get in US i guess? / Berth Milton Jr |

You might have an easier time finding employment/starting a business in the US though, as both Sweden (7.8%) and Canada (7%) have very similar unemployment rates whereas USA is currently sitting at 4.6%. Also seeing as US is a free enterprise economy you might experience an easier time opening and operating your own business. There's more of course so I would definetly do more research before you make such a big decision. Good luck to you |

Definitely Toronto. I've lived in both cities and Toronto will be cheaper and easier to adjust to. Like Adnium_Ivana said, you'll feel more at home here

Definitely agree. I've lived in both as well, and you'll probably find Toronto more welcoming.

As a Swede who moved to Toronto 10 years ago I might be biased but Toronto would probably be an easier transition.
Plus, NYC is only a 2 hour flight away if you want to go for business. |

I would pick Toronto. Seems more welcoming.
When coming from Sweden I don't think the visa is a problem wherever you go. |

NY is good for business opportunity. You can move in there, but better consult their embassy about this.
I hope European migration is not an issue for US right now.

For business, New York.
But just like you mentioned that you have a family, then Canada. Well, good luck man!
