Would it be a good idea to invest $2k in SEO for webcam site?
I have 2 whitelabel sites but I consider buying Mechbunny and then investing 2k in SEO. Would it be a good idea or 2k is too small of an amount to have any result?

Depend on what you want to get. You want to be in TOP google on US marked with word "webcam"? Bad idea. Or you want to be in TOP google for example for Spain with word "best webcam look online free"?
