Android has Verizon to thank for its success ? according to Verizon
Android has exploded in a big way over the past year, and Verizon says that Google can thank the Big Red network for that. I?m sure Verizon would just love to take all the credit for Android?s success, but just how much of a role did the carrier play in the platform?s popularity and explosive growth? A lot, it turns out.
Verizon CTO Tony Melone even said, ?Android really took off when Verizon got involved.? http://www.mobilecrunch.com/2010/12/...roids-success/ |

If think if Verzion didn't allow Andriod phones they would have lost marketshare to T-Mobile and Sprint.

I purchased my first real smartphone with Android in June and I have been very happy with my Evo 4G on Sprint. Now that it has become an extension of my brain and hand I can't believe I was using a dumb feature phone for so long prior to this!
