Actually I have never tasted the original Wendy's fries so I can't really say. But they advertise it saying they keep the skin on and use a new "sea salt".

I don't notice a difference between the old and the new in taste. I did notice the skin still on the other day when the wife picked up some Wendy's when out running errands. But other than that, nothing worth running to Wendy's to get.

We have Chips over here in good ol' Blighty. I believe that french fries are mashed and then shaped? Our chips are just nice slices of thick tattys fried and for the proper effect, should be eaten out of an old newspaper!

I prefer Harvey's they have been doing chips (sorry fries) like that for ages, the burgers are fresh and you can have what you want on it.

some do, some don't. mcdonalds does. wendys says these fries are 'naturally cut' so i assume that means they don't mash them up. harveys doesn't mash them up either.

We have more restaurants than kfc, bk, mcdonalds. Not all of us are slobs who want the quickest filthiest shit in a box. There are some of us who actually care about what we eat and want quality great tasting food. If I want some good fries, wendys is the last place on my mind.

Maris Piper potatoes.

Cut up like this and par boiled:

Fry once at 125 degrees. Remove. Cool.

Fry again at 175 degrees. Remove.

Then you end up with chip perfection:

Best served with home made hollandaise and fillet.

(This was my birthday dinner my lovely lady made me a couple of weeks ago).
