Because american is VERY good at selling pipe dreams and the rest of the world is a bit slow on realizing it doesn't actually work.

Mabey because over the last 50 yrs, more people have generated wealth from realestate ownership than any other source. Hard to argue its a good long term investment, at least from a historic POV.

asians believe delaying enjoyment to a later stage could bring more joy later... but they forgot that Uncle Sam will screw them up by printing more money to make their money worth less in the future...

Many asian countries have long history of inflation and currency being wortless due to different types of domestic wars, riots and governments being overthrown. In short, many countries are not very stable and has definitely not been it over the years. It has been one of the few ways to secure future wealth, in a situation where they haven't had much alternative.

i thought property right wont work if the govt is being overthrown... the new govt will take over all the property/land right..
