Who knows VB4 well? Bout to blow up!

I'm trying to figure out some bugs with my Vbulletin 4 install but their support is awful.
Anyone here willing to spend a few minutes with me to help me resolve some of these things?

One thing I'm really trying to fix is a plugin install error:

Warning: file_exists() [function.file-exists]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/usr/home/tmp/php8rXcz1) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/jappleton/:/tmp:/var/tmp:/usr/local/lib/php/) in [path]/includes/adminfunctions.php on line 2449

I get that when installing a new plugin.

I can setup ICQ or something if anyone is bored enough to help me out.

Contact your web host, and copy & paste that error message to them. Has nothing to do with VB.

You're right, I dont know what I'm doing. Learning as I go.

It's not that their support is awful, it's just difficult to obtain it.

As said above, just copy/paste that error to hosting support, its just a setting to set open_basedir on or off.

No doubt with more than hundred thousand licenses out their, support sucks. Few days back I asked them for a small help with a code modification and they refused.
