Watch out Orbitz.com users!
Don't know if this is something new but they are now pre checking travel insurance fror Access America. Checked my email for the travel conf. and got a copy of the insurance invoice for $78.26! Must be getting desperate with American dropping all the ticket resellers.

A friend in Germany just got nailed with a "pre-checked" insurance scam on fluede.de
"I'm really pissed off of them - no reply at all, a fn hold on the phone for 14cent/min and no one answering, plus a pre-checked sale (€29 insurance)." |

I saw a join page with the following options to get a membership..
if they clicked the credit card option to join you got paid all of the other links said FREE ACCESS via, phone, checking. If they clicked them, you did not get paid. The credit card option showed the amount to be billed beforehand The free options did not. I am sure that 90% of surfers clicked the free join options. The sponsor's excuse? "That is how we can afford to pay $30 pps." links pulled. ~Ray |
