My 10 Greatest Hip Hop Albums of All-Time

This is my list, in no particular order. Well, Kind of.

ENJOY!

Doggystyle - Snoop Doggy Dog
The best ever? Maybe...

6 Feet Deep - Gravediggaz
One of the most memorable albums ever. Period. Like fine wine, it has aged very well.

License To Ill - Beastie Boys
Really helped pave the way for hip hop and, yes, gansta rap.

36 Chambers - Wu Tang Clan
I put this one alone, because I can't put every album from the 36 Chambers to Wu Tang Forever... they are all amazing and deserve a list of their own.

Illmatic - Nas
Fucking tight from the start to the end. Nas never made an album even half as good as this IMO.

Black Sunday - Cypress Hill
Insane in the brain? You probably are if you don't own this album.

The Chronic 2001 - Dr. Dre
Better than the old chronic, though that was also a great album. It's hard to argue that this isn't the greatest rap album ever.

Midnight Marauders - A Trice Called Quest
Real rap.

The Slim Shady LP - Eminem
Pretty much a classic.

Straight Outta Compton - NWA
Ice Cube makes kid movies these days.

There's plenty of great real hip hop out there today, you just won't hear it on the radio..

Moms had to entertain many men
Didn't wanna do it but it's time to pay the rent again
I'm gettin a bit older and I'm startin to be a bother
Moms can't stand me cause I'm lookin like my father
Should I stay or run away, tell me the answer
Moms ignores me and avoids me like cancer
Grow up rough and it's hard to understand stuff
Moms was tough cause his poppa wasn't man enough
Couldn't stand up to his own responsibilities
Instead of takin care of me, he'd rather live lavishly
That's why I'll never be a father;
unless you got the time it's a crime don't even bother

Pretty good list but it would be really hard to create a accurrate top ten list. A lot of great albums to consider.

If you check my comment for 36 Chambers, I said I would include all albums from their first to Wu Tang Forever, that includes Only Built 4 Cuban Linx, an absolute classic. But don't fuck with gravediggaz!

Im with you Alex, Either this one, or Ironman, or Wu-Tang Double CD. I like the double CD better then 36 chambers. That is just me.

Only song I really dug a lot of this GD album was Diary of a Madman

A few I would have on my list.

Nas - It was written, also liked this better then Illmatic. Just my taste.

Also, a great album that came out recently that brings back good old 90s rap is

Capone n Noreage - The War Report 2

Here is a sample off of that album

I like the Jay-Z unplugged but I like Reasonable Doubt better.

Terror Squad - The Album , Fat Joe, Big Pun so on so forth. Dynamite classic album.
Mobb Deep - Infamy and Hell on Earth
Lloyd Banks - Hunger for more
50 cent - get rich or die tryin - dont tell me this album was not a banger. haters gonna hate on this one.

just a few that come to mind.
