President Obama will win the election hands down of course, but if a Republican was to win, I would hope it would be Ron Paul. I don't agree with everything he says, but he's smarter than all of the other GOP candidates put together.

Just a thought: It looks like elite is going a great lengths to seed the thought in American heads that Ron Paul is not going to win. It even looks like they have put all these candidates (and they are from the same team) to do everything they can to stop Ron Paul from getting elected.

Ron Paul doesn't want to win. He isn't serious about running. The reason I say this is simple. If you want to mount a serious campaign for president, especially if you need to compete in the primaries and are not an incumbent, you will need to raise a lot of money. Not 20,30 or even 100 million dollars but more like 500 million. Obviously you don't need it all on day one, but you must be willing to put the machine together that can raise you that kind of cash. Paul won't do that. He won't take corporate money or money from a lot of different sources and while you might say is commendable, it means he will never have a chance to compete.

What Ron Paul has that he does want to sell is his new book. And mark my words if he stays in the campaign somewhere around the time the primaries start or shorty after he drops out, he will have another book out.

Paul knows that if he were to win he would never get most of what he wants done because the house and senate would block him. All presidents find out quickly that it is one thing to say you will do something, it is another to actually be able to pull it off. Paul knows he could never deliver on his ideas so he stays where it is comfortable, running his principled campaign, telling everyone his views and selling his books to those who love him.
