Best Forum Software
Been considering a forum for one of my sites, was curious since many of you probably have forums which you think is the best and why. Also considering a chat portion to it so an add on of some sort might be nice as well.
What you think, vbulletin, ipboard, etc etc? Love to hear your thoughts thanks |

I have tested them all when I was looking for a forum for my large community website, definitely IP Board is the best. It integrates with current user database/website very easily and you can add chat module.

A lot of people will say vBulletin but I dont think it's any better than the free forum-scripts like SMF or MyBB. I've also heard good things about PHPBB 3.

Question: Would it be possible to purchase IP.Chat for more than 250 users online? Possibly 1000? 10,000? etc. Answer: Please email [email protected] to discuss custom needs. So it definitely is possible if you need it. |

Go with IP Board, but phpBB4 is looking interesting and will be built upon Symfony2.
You can always integrate your own chat solution if needed.
