They caved. He walked out a wealthy man.

So did Robbie have the balls to actually talk to him, or not?

Funny that.

I love keyboard warriors.

Maybe he hadn't had enough blow to give him the confidence to actually confront the person he blames for not making 'millions' any more.

I enjoyed the keynote. I found that it was a combined Fabian Thylman/Manwin biography. Isn't that what everyone wanted?

If you have ever visited their Montreal office, you'd know that they are ALL a cool group of people working in a well-greased, streamlined environment. (I didn't know about the Glee club though LOL)... :)

It sounds like it just might.. The goal is to provide the affiliate with some fancy stats but the thing that stood out was that they will pay the affiliate with one check. So manwin will be the buffer so if X program doesn't pay out manwin will be the one on the hook. They said it would be all their programs and they will do it for other programs as well.

So who ever they do this for the affiliate won't have to worry about getting paid by said program. I think Nats needed to do something like that a long time ago.

DamianJ 01-20-2012 10:08 AM

As cookies are about to be made illegal, I imagine the new system will use the computer fingerprinting tech that people are talking about where your machine is snapshotted.

That's what I would be doing in his shoes. As well as wanking over all my cash.

Didn't his brother have something to do with a stats product in mainstream? Wonder what TMM John thinks about the idea, and how close this idea comes to the Xpays patent.

I think Xpays will sue them.

Good for you. Who's next on your shopping list? Maybe online porn being owned by a few big boys working together, with the little micro Ma & Pa operations making a living is the best way forward. Concentrate on the fundamentals and not have to compete hammer and tong in a fragmented industry for affiliates and traffic. Seems ironic so many brown nosing you when you're in the business of dominating the industry. 9 figures gives you a good head start. :thumbsup

To get such a sum takes a well planned strategy. Not just going in and saying "If we had $200,000,000 we could buy lots of companies. You need to tell them who, when, how, price, return, etc.

I assume you've applied to a bank for a business loan. I have.

Pussy. Just put me on ignore. I made a valid comment. They are mostly picking up companies that have had their day or taking over the online operations. When they buy or take over one of the top players we will see the future. Still 9 figures invested in an online porn company in these days. You have to present pretty good plans, forecasts and spreadsheets to get that money from the financial sector. I see you're just the product manager, the CEO would know what is required to get this kind of backing from the financial sector.

I'm just throwing in the opposite view to the brown nosers. :thumbsup

I'm sure their spreadsheets pale in comparison to yours.:thumbsup

Well, Beate Uhse generated sales of appx. $250MM in 2010, so they're likely #1 globally.

They do most of their business in Germany, France, Holland, and Belgium. If the actual revenue by country breakdown is even anywhere close to what this alarmist looking website claims it to be, it doesn't seem like much of a stretch at all to secure an amount equivalent to 2 years of Beate Uhse sales with the goal of dominating the US and Canadian markets and to do it with an acquisition strategy that is very similar in scope, and even more concentrated than that of IAC, a company with a $3B USD market cap.

borked 01-20-2012 03:00 PM

OK, I'm out of this thread, but just to say, it wasn't at all what was I expecting. I'm very disappointed (although I don't know how the seminar was billed) since it was just a "how manwin became and works" speech, not a seminar. Also, it smelled in *lots* of places of a quite a bit of insecurity, as crazy as that sounds for such a "big corporate company". "Google, Micosoft, now work with us..." hehe, I liked that. They also work with me (yet I have Dell on board), yet I only make 100k a year ;)

Fabian has done well, no doubt. But this sounds like a seminar that he may regret a few years down the line, tbh.

Thank you for this, the big money was always in those supplying to the end user. Retail porn offline makes online's spreadsheets all pale in comparison. Imagine what they were doing before online porn?

Tried to watch the movie of Fabian and couldn't understand it and why was the cameraman at the back?

Maybe because that's where the person was sitting, dont think thats an offical video.

As for not understanding, you need to get your ears checked as it was perfectly understandable.

Last night I took the time and listen to Fabian's speech and to be honest I like his vision and explanation on how he expanded and how his company operates, pretty impressive.

The idea about LegendaryStats is in my opinion a logical one but unique by offering by offering other program owners the opportunity to run within their network.

This is surely an interesting concept for affiliates and program owners to make some extra revs :thumbsup

Boggles the mind.

There is no question he is a smart man and has a great business head on his shoulders. He may even have great ideas for the future that will change the industry once again, or even cure cancer. But it is amazing how quickly everyone forgets just how that empire was built, and on who's backs they have been profiting from in the first place. Without their direct enormous involvement in piracy, before he bought them and currently, I doubt that company would be where it is today. It is their traffic that has made them powerful and able to test and fine tune everything they do. Without their tube network, they would not have that traffic.

That said, it was a brilliant plan and they pulled it off. Kudos for that. But we shouldn't forget where they came from and the destruction they have done in the process.

Yup, plus as he said "we tried piratebay and the traffic converts. Converts really well". You should all try it, cos Fabian says it converts...
