HI:Is there some plugin for wordpress where I can type in message (and link), that will show in footer, something similar like facebook notifications.

Sorry...anything will do, but goal is to have info about something (for example new site I am promoting and link to it) at index page of my wordpress blog at the bottom of screen.

add a "what's new" category, then place a loop in your theme to display only the latest post in that category.

i would use a sticky post, or the spots plugin
