Affiliate Program Software

I am helping someone start an affiliate program for their site but I am not familiar with the common affiliate software used for adult companies. I know a few well that I have used in mainstream but not adult.

I know people talk about ccbill affiliate programs and I have seen people say they only do affiliate programs through ccbill... not sure why?

I also see people talk about NATS...

So what makes these affiliate solutions better then all the other options out there and does CCbill only track ccbill or can it track when people pay through backup payment processors? He will soon have 3 payment processor options.

And I think Nats is really expensive?

Any help appreciated!

It's because CCBill will handle your affiliate payouts. The past couple years, there have been a substantial amount of programs closing and with that a lot of lost/stolen revenue from affiliates as most of those programs didn't payout what was due. So you have a fair percentage of affiliates who are no longer willing to promote a non CCBill sponsor.

Nats has recently announced (within the past two or so months) an option where you can use their affiliate software and still have CCBill make payments for you. So even though you may feel it's expensive you may still want to look into it.

Ok so that makes sense, but can CCBill Affiliate program do payouts for say I have Verotel and Zombaio or epoch as back up processors, its able to track and payout from sign ups through secondary processors?

I would think it can but I cant find that information on their site.

Starting a new program as an unknown these days, go with ccbill for sure.
lots of tools on the market to get the most common and needed things for affliates.

a ccbill program will give you trust from the get go, as payments are in good hands.
Dont worry about big software from the start ( unless you really have means to do it right )

Sure, both nats and mpa3 is great and highly recommended, but for startes, i would say ccbill all the way.
simple aff program isent always a bad thing ;)

CCBill lovers are always on here touting how great it is. Wherein the truth is; affiliates will promote a great site no matter what affiliate software it is running on, CCBill does do your payouts for you(as will Epoch), as both are just IPSP's with simple affiliate tracking built in, which is nice but at the expense of trading off a LOT(read: TON) of features that more robust solutions have, such as NATS.

Nats is a very nice program but over priced. Still don't know how they get off charging you a different price depending on how many affiliates you have in your program. if it wasn't for that I would use them.

Stick With CcBill though!

Dont think that is 100% true anymore. with all the programs closing more affiliates are on the lookout with unknown programs. Sadly, you have to be.

That is why i would recommend ccbill for a new and smaller program.

i`m not saying ccbill is all great. Their interface... man it sucks.

We use the new CCBill Paid program Feature with NATS 4.1.
I love it but strangely some affiliates still don't get that we are still a CCBill program merely using NATS for enhanced tracking, promo tools, etc...

I must have misunderstood, I did see that there were different prices, even though you are using the exact same software, that part throws me off. I really did like the detailed stats and set up you guys have, but I still think the service is over priced compared to everything else out there. when you guys have 1 set price. and are $200. a month or below let me know
