Old to affiliate marketing - new to adult

Howdy fellas,
Great to be here. So this will be my welcome post and introduction, spiced up with a few questions I have. So let me introduce myself.

I've been an affiliate marketer for about 4-5 years now. Did mostly dating (sales and leads), diet (rebills), digital products (clickbank), gaming (not gambling, but game downloads/installs) and some other stuff. I buy traffic, PPC/PPV. Mostly did Adwords,FB Ads, PPV networks (trafficvance, lead impact etc'), PoF (Plenty of Fish) and some other shit. Been generating my $500-$2000/day profits on good days. Recently I decided to get into the adult business.

END of INTRO, start of questions

So, I've started researching all the different offers available to push. Signed up to a few "webmaster programs" (as a mainstream affiliate, I'm just on a few affiliate networks and thats where I find offers). Now it seems there are hundreds if not even thousands of offers/sites to push. Every niche has hundred of offers - black, teen, gay etc. Here is my question: In my old world, lets say I'm running a general dating offer targeting for a young demographic of lets say 24-30. Usually I scrap around a few creatives, and simply split test a few offers that are pretty much the same (I'll split test cupid,match,mate1 etc') and check out which offers convert best. That's pretty easy cuz there are at most 5-10 offers I can rotate. In the adult there are like 500 offers to rotate ! How do you go about split testing. I mean lets say I'm buying traffic from youporn's teen category. I have like 500 teen offers to push traffic to. It's impossible to split test them all.

So what do you recommend guys? Any tips? Something? It's a whole new world to me, so any help is highly appreciated. Of course if you have questions of your own for me, I''ll be happy to help.

Cheers and lets make $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Kal

that's exactly what they say about the "mainstream" affiliate biz. Too saturated, too many people ripping off campaigns, click prices too high, facebook are getting more and more bitchy for affiliates, google hates us etc'. I'm happy to hear that. I never listen or do to whatever everyone else are doing. Quick cap, spent around $200 and made $190 with almost zero testing. So right now adult seems to be extremely promising. Gonna start grinding and split testing and see what comes up. I'll keep you posted when I have some more stats. Perhaps even a case study in a few weeks if all goes well. Perhaps I'll make believers out of ya.

Let the hustle begin!

Good luck.

Be aware there are more scum bags in adult than mainstream. Where there is smoke there is fire.

There are far more companies that rip off affiliates or just close shop. Since there are more niche choices, you can just swap over more easily to a new sponsor for an adult niche that some mainstream niches that may only have one sponsor.

Get another DBA for adult or use a whole new corp. I even use different accounts for hosting and domain names. Adult and mainstream mix like oil and water and there is no reason to burn old bridges you have that still work.

If this is your first year, do the show in Miami this summer.

Do your research on the companies you will consider pushing. Read the industry magazines like www.Xbiz.com - http://business.avn.com/articles/technology/ - www.ynot.com - and browse the review sites to see what kind of input they can give you.

Talk on the chat boards - this one is good, but crazy. There are others that cannot be named on this board, but you will find some other good ones too.

Go to the shows and meet the program owners face to face once you have established some traffic you can bargain with.

Talk to the other affiliates about their feelings - some may not want to share their info, but many will. It is plenty to do for everyone.

Cheers!

Just in adult they say go fuck yourself without shyness. But I can see mainstream programs not paying the same, just with more polite words.

welcome Kal, have I seen you on EWA? I would recommend starting with dating but using their white label solutions (same with cams). If you want to try paysite offers, go for extreme niches...they convert and retain better than the typical categories. Best of luck and call on me when you need targeted adult traffic

Best way to find sponsors is pick a niche or micro-niche and examine the freesites and see what other webmasters are currently promoting within that niche, if something pops out check it out. Sponsor directories on xbiz, ynot etc probably not the best place to look for sponsors, although signbucks daily is good start, check out their blacklist section. post ur testing results here
