Apple have patented the idea of using data clones to hide from surveillance: data clones that will browse the internet under your name but will look at basket-weaving sites instead of porn.

The patent mentions the current technologies for evading tracking including the use of anonymisers and spyware-killers, but argue that they can never completely hide a user on the Internet: "even the most cautious Internet users are still being profiled over the Internet via dataveillance techniques from automated Little Brothers" Carter says.

I don't see how you associate this with helping porn? I can list 100 reasons how this would be bad for online marketing of porn.

Privacy while surfing is a huge concern for people but I don't see Apple being a supporter of anonymous surfing. The government would have a bone to pick with that...

They likely just nabbed it to control it.

Most likely they will use this patent to keep the innovation out of the market. Thats the only thing that aligns with their fascist slave labor big brother orthodoxy.

It's a patent that would work similar to the current Google incognito window. I agree this will hurt marketing porn in that cookies will be useless and any program that is dependent on cookies won't be able to track sales.
