If you look at the right forums you will see several sites are having trouble paying affiliates.

Stop File Lockers has only been going 43 days. In that time we have seen Paypal removed from over 100 file lockers, some large most small. Obviously they will try to hang on, it might take several months before you see the ones who could not live without Paypal disappear.

For those that have moved to other 3rd party payment processors there is another challenge that they face, which is betting their business against the brands of Mastercard and Visa. The time will come where the brand risk for Mastercard and Visa is too great and they are cut loose.

Everyone can help in this regard. If you see a repeat copyright infringing file locker using Mastercard or Visa then complain to Mastercard and Visa. If you see unlawful content on such file lockers (such content usually isn't hard to find) then write an email to Mastercard and Visa and complain. The more emails that the card companies get complaining about illegal content on file lockers the more likely it is that someone will take notice.

You concentrate on file lockers because the companies that run them are usually foreign or small. If you took on any one of the umpteen companies that run huge tubes AND post on this board and pay 80% of the webmasters here, you'd be squashed like a bug by someone's atty in about three days because then you'd actually be screwing around with REAL money. App developers are getting hit real hard by the file lockers. People that develop scripts and design work people get ripped off big time. It's not too hard to find repositories of 5-100 GB of adobe project files or 10 GB of iPhone apps for jailbroken phones (or android especially).

Thinking it's just porn being hit by piracy is blinkered. Anything that can be stolen and downloaded online is loosing money to piracy. Film industry has changed it's format to something best seen on a widescreen, heard on a great sound system, 3d and in a definition that so far can't be stolen (or am I wrong again

), yet DVD sales are down.

Arguing they're up, is stupid. People steal, then buy.

Governments and countries can't afford to keep loosing money to piracy. When a pirate earns money, odds are the producer and the country he lives in, looses some. The only way to stem this is via the money flow. The moment Visa and MC, stop processing for piracy, we take a huge step towards the goal. We will get new laws that will make piracy far less profitable and damaging.

Difference from PayPal and alike is that it's almost impossible to identify the company behind the phone number since one number is usually used by 100's of companies.

Also, there are whole countries using LOCAL filelockers. I live in a country with population of 10 mil people only and there is the PAID torrent tracker which has over 700k active peers. Price per month is about 1 Euro. Minus 50% which goes to the mobile phone company. The guys make over 300k Euro per month! Go try to sue them. Just try, I'm curious if you can even find a english-speaking local lawyer who knows international copyright laws.

AK is just trying to punch a wind. Filelockers is such a small part of what's really going on out there.

No - the sites that AdultKing and StopFileLockers are going after are those that pay people to upload content and then charge others to view that content. What part of that are the trolls on here not getting?

These types of sites aren't just stealing content, they are actually PROFITING off of stolen content. It's like someone breaking into your house, stealing your TV and selling it to some guy from the back of his van . . . Only this is worse. Why? Because you would never make money from that TV they stole and sold, while with content you are trying to support yourself and the ability to make more content to sell.

I can only assume that anyone that doesn't understand why what StopFileLockers is doing is a good thing, is not a content producer, or makes no money from content.

What really pisses me off, is these uploaders, and the sites that support them, are so short sighted: If the producer can't afford to make new content because they can't sell what they already made, then were will the new content pirates profit from come from? Kill the goose that lays the golden eggs, and you end up with no golden eggs. LOL

Most people don't need to be on a porn set to know that many adult sites are unethical, give little shit about their customers, overprice their content, and false advertise.

I'm not saying this for all paysites/webmasters because it is not all, but many sites do that and it ends up giving every paysite and adult co a bad name because of the bad taste left in peoples mouths from there other experiences. I can even say that myself from personal experience. People don't care about how a porn is made or whatever, they want quality results for a fair price and proper service for their money regardless of what industry it is. Those of us who really love what we do and are looking to create something that we think is really good...have no interest in trying to pull any stupid stunts.

And always keep this in mind...assholes and scumbags are everywhere. There are PLENTY of people out there who deliberately join pay sites and steal everything and then do a fucking chargeback at the end of the day.

As far as pricing goes...yeah, I guess people who weren't adults before the internet just do not understand how fucking cheap a $30 paysite membership with tons of videos and pictures is compared to how it was for decades before. Back then you had to first actually live somewhere that HAD an adult bookstore...and then you paid $50 for a single vid title with maybe 7 scenes on it. Or $5 for a magazine with 21 pictures in it.

Fuck that. The crappiest paysite on Earth is still a bargain in comparison. It doesn't give people any excuses to steal.

No - the sites that AdultKing and StopFileLockers are going after are those that pay people to upload content and then charge others to view that content. What part of that are the trolls on here not getting? These types of sites aren't just stealing content, they are actually PROFITING off of stolen content. It's like someone breaking into your house, stealing your TV and selling it to some guy from the back of his van . . . Only this is worse. Why? Because you would never make money from that TV they stole and sold, while with content you are trying to support yourself and the ability to make more content to sell. I can only assume that anyone that doesn't understand why what StopFileLockers is doing is a *good* thing, is not a content producer, or makes no money from content. What really pisses me off, is these uploaders, and the sites that support them, are so short sighted: If the producer can't afford to make new content because they can't sell what they already made, then were will the new content pirates profit from come from? Kill the goose that lays the golden eggs, and you end up with no golden eggs. LOL
