I disagree, this battle can and will be won. Behind the scenes I have been building relationships with several people and organizations who are willing and able to act in regard to certain aspects of this issue.

I can't go into lots of detail, however I have made the breakthrough with Paypal public. With the Paypal dialogue, it's not some pleb I am in contact with, it's the Head of Brand Risk Management of the Paypal legal department. You can't get any higher than her when it comes to shutting down Paypal accounts.

The difficulty is that with many of these contacts I am making, it would jeopardize any action if I was specific about it on this or any other forum. So you'll just have to trust me.

I have my own legal counsel here in Australia and not a word is being said without passing it by them. I don't fear being sued as in our country truth is a defense to defamation proceedings.

Not correct at all. If they're willful infringers, they're in violation. An example of a willful infringer is me encouraging you to upload copyright infringing content, or me paying you to do so, or me doing it myself.

The ONLY way they can claim a safeharbor is if they're legitimately unaware of what's being uploaded. And in that case, the uploader is the willful infringer. You know what tubes are unaware of what's being uploaded? Tubes that have nothing on them. Yeah... that's because the owners are always aware of what's being uploaded... because it's them doing the uploading 99 times out of 100.

And BTW, using a 3rd party fingerprinting product also doesn't mean shit for safeharbor. If I didn't fingerprint my content, they're still in violation if they're using it.

So basically what I'm saying is there is literally no safeharbor loophole that would allow illegally used copyrighted content to stay online.

Filesharing might be winning for now but the party wont last forever. I see one of two possible outcomes. Either the people with legitimate talent that produce the content will no longer have any incentive to produce and you'll have nothing of any value to share or else the tide will turn and payment processing will wise up and the laws will actually catch up with the times. I believe the later is already starting to happen.

Thanks for the offer but I haven't forgotten any of them. There's other processes going on behind the scenes which I cannot go in to here as the file locker community is monitoring these threads. Suffice to say, we are publishing sites only when those processes are under way.

The blogs are a front end to the whole operation, people shouldn't think because a site isn't up there yet that we're not dealing with it.

Owner Drew Houston has raised 275 million with a current valuation north of 5 billion and estimates of $200+ million revenue a year so far. I bet himself , Bono & Edge and Sequoia (early investors) would also question why they use paypal who work for the bad filelockers. Or perhaps they might also wonder what it was exactly people were storing in their public folders. I know they "cant" look in private ones, but surely they keep an eye on the public ones, or do they not want to know why they became so popular either......

He states: "Paypal processes CP" when nobody has ever checked those files, what about writing: "Paypal is processing memberships for some file hosting websites and some of the files served use a title that indicates that the content might be related to CP ?"

I am not saying he is doing a wrong thing but maybe he is doing the right thing in the wrong way and without thinking of consequences. Anyway it was just my advice (I am not a lawyer nor a judge)

You seem intent on derailing this. What you don't understand that this project has oversight by very good lawyers and my resources are considerable enough to defend any issues. Truth is a defence to defamation in Australia, so there is no problem.

It does not matter if the files named as CP contain CP or not, the mere connotation that they do contributes to child exploitation and those seeking child exploitation material.

It's also a clear breach of Mastercard, Visa and Paypal processing regulations.

As I said. debate this in another thread, this thread is solely to focus on shutting down file lockers.

Why PayPal would continue processing payments for Oron (or any other merchant) after as a Judge freezes its assets? PayPal does not process for legal adult sites, eventually they will never admit it, but they think file sharing it is so popular (even openly, see pirate parties getting votes in Germany, and no any parent afraid if kids download disney movies), and so not damaging the PayPal brand as it is porn.
In other words, my impression it is that PayPal will more likely drop file lockers if voices they support porn (illegal or not), more than pirated content.

I have been reading all the court documents on this and seen everything thats been filed (its all available on RFCEpress.com, but I will post later.

I think that the PayPal thing is a bluff from Oron to the Lawyers. I don't think these lawyers, based on what they state in papers, really know Oron.com's business model and I am under the impression that they thought PayPal was processing but its wasn't. I think that stopped back in January when Megaupload case started.

Any, just my opinion... that the Oron lawyers are not experienced and informed as they should be, and that the Liberty lawyers know this business very well.

I got all the court docs and will post links a bit later.

If you are disgusted by CP then you need to get to the real culprits, filelockers need to be make to report and trace these people along with email groups, news groups etc etc.

Any online form of storage can be a target for these kind of people, i do not agree with you that slamming any business that has had this uploaded to their service needs to be closed down because you say so.

Don't make a blog with your step by step plan of how to avoid getting closed down, and the persons name at paypal you want fired for bringing into question why they would discuss this kind of thing with a person like yourself.

taking down file lockers is a reasonable goal and the abuse isn't exclusive to our industry which means making friends in mainstream to help win the fight is possible.

Simply stated, file lockers allow huge quantities of illegal porn to be archived, loads of media content from both porn producers and mainstream movie makers.

People don't care usually if something doesn't effect them. It doesn't help if someone derails a piracy thread saying that their stuff is micro niche therefore nobody looks at it except keywords in the search engine or how large the files are in the members are to discourage any downloaders from uploading.
Mainstream producers could care less about the tubes that effect us so severely but file lockers they care about.

Like anything else, argument can only make sense to a certain extent with individuals before you need to back away because your time is spent better else where, like taking action.

It happened on both sites almost as soon as I placed the Facebook page social tool onto the sites, I am guessing this (like the DDOS attacks) was meant to discredit the site. If someone wan't to volunteer to remove them all (there are some real followers amongst them) then please step forward, because I have more important things to do.

The real fans of the two pages will see the posts and reply to them, the fake indian made profiles will just sit there and do nothing until their accounts progressively get closed off by facebook.

Obvious file locker supporter is obvious. Both pages set up got hundreds of likes the moment they were placed onto the respective websites, like the DDOS attacks we received it was just another way for the disgruntled uploaders (who are about to lose their income) to discredit the sites.

As stated above, if you want to volunteer to weed out the fake from real profiles who have liked the page then please feel free.
